Stability of our synthesized compounds

If it is confirmed that the target product has been synthesised but its instability makes it difficult to isolate or submit, the full amount will be charged once only a report is submitted or an unpurified product is submitted, and the search for stable conditions for the target product and studies for isolation and purification will be discussed as a separate case.

Quite often, the synthesis of unknown compounds can lead to unpredictable degradations, and projects that require significant effort to achieve the target purity can occur. Removing instability factors to obtain high purity products is an important know-how in custom synthesis, but it is not easy to overcome. We appreciate your understanding.

・We cannot take risks regarding the stability of the target compounds: it is difficult to predict the stability and degradation risks of organic compounds that we have no experience in handling.
We believe that the following cases can be handled appropriately at no additional cost.
・Photoreactive compounds: Light shielding
・Acid- and alkali-sensitive structures: Search for pH conditions that prevent decomposition
・Hydrolyzable compounds: Handle under conditions that keep water away as much as possible
・Polymerizable compounds: Addition of general polymerization inhibitors
・Avoid using solvents that may react with the objective substance: carboxylic acids and alcohols, amines and carbonyls (ketones, aldehydes, esters, etc.)
・Thermal stability: handling under cooling conditions, concentration without heating
・Proteins and other structures that can take on higher-order structures: Investigation of purification conditions in aqueous systems without organic solvents, avoidance of heating, strict control of pH
In rare cases where degradation cannot be avoided by the simple measures described above, stability tests and the establishment of a purification method to avoid degradation require a great deal of time and effort.The cost of this conditional review is not included in the quoted price, and you will be asked to bear the following costs.

・If we are able to confirm the presence of the objective substance but are unable to purify it due to its instability, we will charge you the full amount of the unpurified product, and we will consult with you separately about the study for isolation and purification.
・If a concern arises that there is a stability problem, it will take many confirmatory experiments to prove it.In most of these cases, even if we receive the full amount, it is not profitable for us.We ask for your understanding in charging the full amount including refining even though the product is unrefined.
・Additional study may lead to the conclusion that the target purity is unattainable without finding a solution. We will not charge any additional fees, but please do not ask for a refund of the fees already charged.
・There is a possibility that we may lose most or all of the target material due to unexpected side reactions or instability after undertaking the purification of your sample.
In our company, we always establish the purification method by preliminary examination of a small amount before moving on to the processing of the entire remaining amount, but it is rare that we cannot reproduce the results. In such a case, we will do our best to provide you with a detailed report on the process of disassembly and as much data as possible to ensure your understanding.Please do not pay any penalties such as reimbursement for the samples you keep or additional purchases at our expense.
・Since there is no knowledge of the storage stability of custom-made synthetic products, care must be taken to avoid decomposition during transportation and storage.We do not warrant any decomposition or decrease in purity that may occur after we have analyzed the delivered lot for purity.
