Maximum scale we can handle is up to 1g.

• The maximum capacity of our reaction vessel is 5 liters but we actually use this vessel only once every few years.
• Most of our syntheses are on a scale from less than 1 mg up to at most 100 mg.
• We can only handle large scale orders of more than 1 gram if the following conditions are met.
  ①Compounds for which we do not have synthesis experience should be handled only for the first 10 to 100 mg or less (or 1 to 10 mg or less depending on the difficulty of synthesis and raw material cost).
  ②We will make a scale-up estimate based on the feeling of the initial preliminary study synthesis . Depending on the results of the preliminary study synthesis , it may be difficult to deal with scale-up.
  ③In some cases, it is possible to handle a scale-up of over 100 g, but please note that cost reduction due to scale-up is not expected much due to the limitation of our company facilities.
  

The price varies greatly depending on the synthesis scale.

• We strongly recommend that you request a minimum quantity (10mg to 100mg, or less than 1mg in case of multi-step synthesis or use of expensive raw materials) for the initial synthesis, and at the same time, we will provide you with a quotation based on only the minimum quantity for the initial synthesis of each compound.
• If you need more than 100mg, we can provide you with a large scale estimate without any preliminary study synthesis.
  However, as a first step, we strongly recommend that you request a preliminary study synthesis at a minimum scale of 0.1 to 10 mg (depending on the synthesis method and raw material price).
  
  

Six reasons.

1. This is because the total price becomes less expensive.
   ・This is a scaled-up estimate based on the results of the preliminary study synthesis, but since the estimate is based on the results of the preliminary study synthesis, it is possible to set a price and delivery date that greatly reduces the risk of difficulties.※
   ・The total cost is rarely more expensive than a large scale estimate without preliminary studies sythesis.※※
2. Even if you request in two steps, from small scale to scale up, the total delivery date is almost the same.※※
3. The risk at clearing is greatly reduced.
   ・In order to avoid risks, the estimate for the first synthesis is always "submission of the obtained amount of the upper limit of the target amount" regardless of the scale.
   If even a small amount of the objective substance is obtained: In an extreme case, the entire amount will be charged even if the submitted amount is 1 mg under the "100 g" contract.
   ・In the two-step estimation from initial minimum volume to scale-up, scale-up is treated as repeat synthesis.In the case of repeat requests, if the quantity submitted is less than the target quantity, the estimated amount will be invoiced on a pro-rata basis. This greatly reduces the risk for the customer.
4. Customer discounts are based on actual orders (number of orders, order rate).If you have placed an order even once, you will receive a 5% discount (if you request a scale-up).If you are a new customer, we recommend that you start with a small-scale order at a relatively low price in order to confirm the quality of our service.
5. If you specify "Scale Up Assumption" at the time of preliminary study synthesis inquiry, we will give you 5 ~ 10% discount for the estimate of scale up synthesis.※
6. It does not support the free service of preliminary study synthesis.
   ・There was a time in the past when we offered preliminary study synthesis free of charge, but if we did not receive an order, we had to take the risk that the labor and raw material costs for the preliminary study synthesis would be directly deducted from the total cost.
   Due to the experience that it did not lead to an order as expected for the risk, we do not currently provide a free service for preliminary study synthesis.

※Please let us know if you would like us to give you a rough estimate of the total amount of scale up from small scale on the assumption that the preliminary study synthesis was as expected.

※※As a result of the preliminary study synthesis, the scale-up estimate may be more expensive or take longer to deliver than the initial estimate due to unexpected side reactions, low yields, etc. However, even so, the cost is rarely higher than the initial estimate for a large scale project.

Proposal to reduce costs with multi-step synthetic compounds

Syntheses with a large number of processes have a great risk of drastically decreasing the yield of the final product if there is a process with a low yield in the middle.Unless otherwise stated in the quotation, we quote on the basis of a contingency fee for the submission of the final product, so the amount of price and delivery time are set on top of the risk involved.
If the clearing is done in several steps, the risk can be greatly reduced and the total amount can be lowered, so please consider clearing in the middle.
